Best AI Mobile App Builders in 2026, by Use Case

Ten AI mobile app builders compared on output, code export, phone preview, price and store publishing. AppX is ours; every rival claim is sourced.

Disclosure: AppX is our product, made in Tashkent by AppX Tech Group. This list ranks by use case, not by "we are number one". Every statement about another tool comes from that tool's own pricing page or docs, read on 3 October 2026 and linked at the end.

Short answer. There is no single best AI mobile app builder in 2026. Pick by what you want to end up holding. For a standard Expo + React Native project you can download as a ZIP from a $5 plan, pick AppX. For native Swift and Kotlin apps with store submission built in, pick Rork. For a free plan and React Native output, pick RapidNative. For a visual builder that exports Flutter code, pick FlutterFlow.

How we compared

We read each tool's pricing page and documentation on one day and wrote down five things: what the tool outputs, whether you can take the code, how you see the app on a real phone, the cheapest paid plan, and how the app reaches the stores.

We did not benchmark the other tools, so this article says nothing about their speed or output quality. The only timings here are our own: on a 12-app bench on 27 September 2026, AppX's median first build took about 6.3 minutes and an edit about 1.9 minutes.

Best pick by use case

AppX: the lowest-cost way to hold a real Expo project

You describe the app in plain words. AppX plans the screens first, then builds in milestones: the first build delivers the first part, and "Build next milestone" adds more screens. You get a web preview, open the app on your own phone with Expo Go, and change anything by chatting. The full project downloads as a ZIP on every plan, including Basic at $5 a month. If a first build fails, you aren't charged. The interface is in English, Russian and Uzbek.

Limits: store publishing is done with a real person at a written price, not by a button. Until published, the app runs in Expo Go. AppX apps don't include push notifications, maps or background location yet.

Rork: native Swift and Kotlin

Rork's docs say new projects are native iPhone apps in SwiftUI, native Android apps in Kotlin, or web apps, and that new Expo projects can no longer be created. Native code brings things AppX doesn't offer: widgets, Apple Watch and Vision Pro are on Rork Max, from $200 a month. Publishing is built in, from Rork's own build machines. Rork Pro is $20 a month for 100 credits. The free plan is for design only.

Rork's marketing FAQ (rork.com/faq) still described Rork Pro as React Native + Expo, with paid plans from $25, on the day we checked. Its docs and plans page say otherwise; we followed the docs.

RapidNative: a free plan and React Native output

RapidNative outputs React Native and Expo. Its free plan gives 20 credits a month and 5 screens per project. Code export starts on the $20 Starter plan. Store submission is a separate flat-fee service run by their team, with prices on the site.

a0.dev: Expo with a built-in store upload

a0 projects are built on Expo. You test with a0's own iOS app or with Expo Go on Android. The dashboard builds the app and uploads it to your App Store Connect account. Pro is $20 a month with 100 credits.

Bloom: Expo plus a Convex backend

Every Bloom app is an Expo frontend with a Convex backend. Sharing is the strong part: a link opens as an App Clip on iPhone. New accounts currently join a waitlist.

CatDoes: one agent for apps and websites

CatDoes builds React Native Expo apps and websites, with a managed backend on all plans. iOS and Android deploys start on the $50 Starter plan.

Bolt and Emergent: builders that also do web, with an Expo path

Both generate Expo apps and preview in Expo Go. Both leave store publishing to you and Expo's EAS command-line tools. Emergent's help page says the Mobile Agent is for paid plans only.

FlutterFlow: visual builder, Flutter code

FlutterFlow is a visual builder that exports Flutter code and deploys from the editor on paid plans. Dreamflow, from the same team, is the prompt-first option from $20 a month.

Replit: a full cloud workspace

Replit's Agent builds Expo apps, previews them in Expo Go, and uploads to App Store Connect. Its docs say publishing on Google Play is not yet supported.

When to pick another tool instead of AppX

  • You need push notifications now. a0.dev, Replit and FlutterFlow document them. AppX does not have them yet.
  • You need widgets or an Apple Watch app. Rork, on its Max plan.
  • You want to submit to the stores yourself from inside the builder. Rork, a0.dev or Replit.
  • You want a free plan before paying anything. RapidNative or Bolt. AppX has no free plan.
  • Your team needs two-way GitHub sync. Rork or Bloom. AppX gives you a ZIP.
  • You want Flutter. FlutterFlow.

FAQ

What is the best AI mobile app builder in 2026?

It depends on the output you want. AppX fits people who want a standard Expo + React Native project at the lowest entry price. Rork fits native Swift and Kotlin. RapidNative fits those who want a free plan. FlutterFlow fits Flutter teams.

Which AI app builders give you the source code?

AppX gives a full project ZIP on every plan. RapidNative and Bloom export from their $20 plans. Rork exports through GitHub on paid plans. FlutterFlow downloads Flutter code from its $39 plan.

Which one is cheapest?

Of the paid plans in this list, AppX Basic is the lowest at $5 a month for 100 credits. RapidNative and Bolt have free plans with limits.

Can these tools publish my app on the App Store?

Some submit for you from the builder (Rork, a0.dev, Replit). Some leave it to you and Expo's tools (Bolt, Emergent, Bloom). AppX and RapidNative do it with people: AppX at a written price, RapidNative as a flat-fee service. In every case Apple charges $99 a year and Google $25 once, paid by you.

Do I need a Mac?

Not to build or preview with AppX: the preview runs in the browser and in Expo Go on your phone. Rork's docs also say no Mac is needed, because builds run on Rork's machines.
